Development 0.4 - #13


Hey friends!

Hope you're all doing great. Time really flies lately, not just because of the daylight saving that happened between Saturday and Sunday. Anyway, it’s been another two weeks, so here comes another development update for you!

Over the past two weeks, I managed to fix the "leatherface" issue I mentioned in the last dev log or at least found a decent workaround for it. The new shaders bring a lot of great graphical improvements, but they also come with their fair share of bugs/features (still deciding which one it is). I definitely don't want to lose the soft shadows since they're such a nice addition overall!

Right now, I've finished 3 out of the 7-8 planned scenes. I'm still debating whether the new scene I mentioned last time should be its own separate one or just part of an existing one. It's more of a "me problem" and won't affect you, but it might make one scene quite a bit longer in the end, at least on paper. :D

Things are still moving along nicely overall. I'm at around 600 renders now, which means I'm nearly halfway through what I originally planned. At the moment, I'm preparing another scene and redoing all the lighting in that one due to the new shader, but I'm confident it won't take too long!

Alright, I hope you got some insight in my current workflow and tasks I'm tackling beside my usual day job life.
