Beyond Humanity is a story driven novel which takes you on a journey into a potential future that borders on dystopia. Set just five years ahead, you, as the protagonist, were just an ordinary student until one day you wake up in a hospital room.
All memories of why you ended up there are blurred in the depths of your mind. But as soon as you try to go back to your daily life, you realize that something is fundamentally different. You are invited to live in your best friend's house, where you will also be sharing the space with her mother and sister, each of whom has their own set of problems and daily struggles. What could possibly go wrong with that?
With every decision you make, you not only change your own life but also that of your friends and loved ones. It's in your hands which game you want to play.
This game should only be played if you're at least 15+, it contains suggestive content.
Features
- Choices: It's your playthrough! You can decide how you want to interact with the characters. Are you in a bad, good or just a neutral mood? Choose you answers based on whatever you like.
- High Quality: Enjoy scaled-down 8k renders / 4k animations for the best possible quality at the lowest size.
- Variation: On average, only 1-2 sentences per image, and most decisions lead to different image sequences.
- Smartphone: Access additional information about every interactable character you meet on your journey, design your phone (even with custom background images), explore at the calendar, use the jokes app, and anticipate more features in future updates!
- and much more like captivating music, fitting sound effects, clickable easter eggs, and many changeable options to individualize your gameplay experience.

A SFW version is actually a great idea - on the assumption that the 'conversion' is relatively painless.
It makes it so I can have others play that might not appreciate the NSFW portions. The writing has always been my main focus for enjoyment, a SFW version allows for a larger audience - in my opinion.
Thank you very much. I've tried to keep the original story as much as possible. Feel free to drop some feedback! :) If enough people enjoy this version, I can justify to put in some extra hours to not just blur out stuff but exchange it for a more fluent flow.
After playing it and then replaying the first chapter of the original, I think you'd need to spend a *lot* of effort to SFW the full story to make it work. Many of the decisions fall into the 'should I be bad' kind, and without the cheeky humour (i.e. boob jokes, etc) a lot of the umpf disappears. Things like Simon's night out and the Sexbot adventure also don't really translate.
The primary underlying story would work just fine, but the flavour and spice would need to be recreated from scratch, which sounds like more a higher cost than the benefit.
Its not a quick trim to make an action movie fit for television. "Porky's" simply *can't* work on network TV.
The story is the same, just without the NSFW bits and a little less of the relationship quirks in the end. You're totally right that it misses some of the adult jokes and such, but for some people it's not really about that, but just the story behind it. It would definitely be some additional cost involved to make it shiny more but that's not the goal of this version, it's just here to provide the story to another audience. :)

As explained by the developer in another post, the game is still in development.
If worse comes to worse, it will migrate to other not so strict platforms, but development will continue on the NSFW version.
Yes, both are totally separate projects for me. This is a prototype (only contains Chapter 1 so far), to see if people would enjoy to see more.

Yes, as explained by the developer in another post, this is a prototype for a SFW version of Between Humanity.
Due to the temporary ban of NSFW content, Panda decided to publish it now to gauge interest.

Concerning the removal of NSFW content from content creator platforms such as Itch.IO, Steam, and other platforms containing authors expressing themselves:
Capitulating to the credit card companies over sexual content is worse than banning books from a library for it's content. Fictional works are just that, fictional. Banning it's content base on someone else's conservative views is simply puritanical. It's an infringement on the rights of the authors to express themselves as individuals. In the U.S. it is an infringement of the 1st Amendment.
It would be ok to make safeguards that make security tight around the sales of such content, so that age verification, and rights waivers can be verified before payment is made, but outright banning the content is wrong. Shame on any platform that capitulates to the payment processors in this regard. Shame on the payment processors for capitulating to a single campaign of 70000 people who don't necessarily speak for the other 7 Billion people on the planet.
